In collaboration with Catherine Black, cellist and teacher, Caroline Evans runs a two-day composition course designed to complement GCSE music studies.

It is open to any instrumentalist and is designed for those who want to develop their compositional skills. Knowledge of keys, phrasing and structure are covered and guidance is given on composition in progress with reference to listening and score reading. Students on the course enjoy the exchange of ideas and find that they are able to develop their writing further.

Courses presently run three times a year. The next session of this two-day course will take place in Lewes on Saturday 18 October and Saturday 1 November 2008.  Fee for two-day course: £75.
