Aural training, sight-reading and sight-singing are essential skills for any musician. Some students have a natural ability in these areas. For others a little extra help is required, especially in the later grades. In order to achieve highest overall marks in an exam, it is vital not to neglect these areas.

In an ideal world, aural training and sight-reading run in parallel with a student’s instrumental lessons. For those who have not had sufficient time to devote to these skills and who wish to improve specifically their proficiency in aural, sight-reading or sight-singing, the following programmes are offered:

‘Aural Soundbites’ (aural training course)

4-week progression course Grades 1-4: £135
8-week progression course Grades 5-8: £275

‘Right@Sight’ (sight-reading course)

4-week progression course Grades 1-4: £135
8-week progression course Grades 5-8: £275

‘Sing@Sight’ (sight-singing course)
